Come and enjoy tango, friendshop & nature! Connect with your senses in the beautiful nature, enjoy the friendship of the tango group, and be inspired by the tangoclasses of Mariano & Cosima.

Tango Masterclass chooses it's accommodations with great care. This retreat takes place in the luxurious Van der Valk Hotel Texel – De Koog, with delicious buffet included. Our daily workshops and evening milongas take place in the big dance hall.

31 October - 2 November 2025 will be the 7th edition of Tango Masterclass Texel.

The hotel is beautifully situated in a quiet forest area on the edge of the dunes of Texel National Park and only 15-minute walk from the North Sea beach. The hotel consists of a a great dance hall where all our workshops, milongas and trainings take place. Each room features a private bathroom and a tv, bicycle rental, free wifi and a coffee/tea facility. There are also various walking and biking routes in the direct area of Van der Valk Hotel Texel – De Koog.

The hotel was build  in 1934. In recent years the hotel is beautifully renovated and transformed. All rooms have private bathroom, and a private coffee & tea facility.

The tango lessons and milongas take place in the beautiful Van der Valk Hotel De Koog - Texel. If you like to book your stay at the hotel, please send us an email.
Check-in Friday: 15 h

You can also extend your stay (arrive on Thursday or leave on Monday).

Please don't reserve directly at the hotel. The hotel wants us to book for the entire tangogroup, and not handle individual reservations. We can also book an arrangement for you or 3 nights for the price of 2, or 4 nights for the price of 3. Please mail us for a pricelist.

Your Maestros Mariano y Cosima

Your teachers this weekend are Mariano y Cosima Díaz Campos. Mariano was born in Buenos Aires, and raised in a tango family. He transmits the cultural heritage from a family of tangodancers. His grandfather used to organize milongas in his home town, his mother was the pioneer of tango in Holland, and passed the legacy to her son. Mariano & Cosima met in 2001, and trained intensively in Buenos Aires with renowned maestros. Their style is classical and Argentine. Cosima brought to the couple and to the teaching her experience in music in general and in tango music in particular (she studied Argentine Tango violin in Rotterdam in 1996-1997), and her knowledge in healthy movements and postures (she graduated as an excercise-therapist in 2001, and as a physiotherapist in 2004).

Mariano & Cosima are dedicated teachers, and their classes are appreciated by students for their effective methodology. The couple knows how to work intensively with a group, yet create a light, fun and relaxed atmosphere. They guarantee a good balance between explanation and time to practice and a good alternation between group dynamics and individual feedback. They know how to connect technique with feeling, and they focus on the essence of tango in their classes. They give subtle and accurate corrections that make every students grow fast.

• healthy movements, relaxed energy, full feeling of the body;
• quality of movement, connection and musical interpretation.
